The features of SEiNG Cloud CCTV

The advantages of SEiNG VSAAS

SEiNG groups your recordings, coming from one or more cameras, in to time sequences. This provides a fast and effortless way to search for a specific event, as fewer recordings are displayed to the user. If required, it is easy to ‘drill down’ to access more details.

Dashboard

At the heart of SEiNG is a dashboard that offers a centralised view of all sites and cameras across your estate.

The dashboard is designed to be easy to use and navigate, providing real-time insight into events and incidents to allow you to respond quickly and effectively.

The Dashboard simplifies collaboration between different teams, allowing for efficient decision-making

Centrally Managed

The system and specified users across multiple sites can be managed from an individual location, regardless of the actual site locations.

Each user’s access to the system is managed through the setting up of an individual account. The main account can support individual subaccounts, and each can be defined with separate access permissions and user rights. These cover sites, groups, or specific cameras.

The system inventory management function provides comprehensive information detailing specific camera information including their make and model, their installation date and specific location. This ensures timely service and end-of-life replacement.

Roles

The system users are managed through the setting-up of individual user accounts, with the option for multiple subaccounts with the main account.

A User’s permission is defined by their specific role, such as the following:

  • Administrator
  • Editor
  • Guest

Security

All User accounts are highly secure with individual username, password, and Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA). The data generated by the system will be encrypted over a secure connection.

Sites and Groups

SEiNG can structure your estate using groups, allowing clusters of cameras and the site location to be contained in regions or by type of site, such as the main office or warehouses etc.

The creation of sites, means you can set up your subaccounts to restrict access to specific cameras or groups of cameras. The use of groups also makes it easier to filter your recordings, making retrieval of events fast and efficient.

Live Streaming

SEiNG allows you to view your system live from anywhere in the world. Access for authorized users is through a standard browser. Depending on the speed and quality of their connection, users can select either a high resolution stream (WebRTC) or a low resolution (JPEG) stream to view images.

Low Resolution

The low resolution livestream is a snapshot JPEG, shared over Message Queuing Telemetry Transport MQTT (TCP) and presented in the portal using secure web sockets (WSS).

High Definition

The high definition livestream is delivered through Web Realtime Communications (WebRTC). The full resolution FPS are sent through using the WebRTC technology. WebRTC supports Network Address Translation traversal capabilities using Session Traversal Utilities for NAT and Traversal Using Relays around NAT (TURN) servers.

Recording and Artificial Intelligence

At the heart of any CCTV system is control and management of recorded images. SEiNG features Machine Learning (ML), this is an application of Artificial Intelligence.

The AI capability allows the SEiNG system to become more accurate at predicting outcomes, without the need to be programmed to perform this function. This ‘self-learning’ is a key feature of SEiNG through the application of the ‘You Only Look Once’ (YOLO) classification.

All recordings uploaded to SEiNG will be analysed by the ML model and through the use of metadata, information obtained is stored into the database. This is used for features such as advanced searches and notifications.

In addition to classifying and predicting objects, the ML also traces the classified objects. By doing this, any recording of an object of interest is labelled.

Notifications and Tasks

The SEiNG platform allows users to create tasks and notifications automatically, or manually, including the sharing externally of recordings.

Inventory Management

Inventory management allows you to know where cameras are located, installation dates, their make, models etc. and when they are due for replacement.

Camera Monitoring

If a camera goes offline, it is important for you to quickly be notified to allow prompt action. The built-in monitoring and custom alerts will notify relevant personnel via one of the supported channels.

Edge to Cloud Recording

Edge recording allows the buffering of data while forwarding to the cloud. If there should be a connection issue, any ‘missing’ data is then transferred. When the connection is restored, the system will automatically synchronise all recorded data.

Recording Colocation

SEiNG uses the concept of storage vaults. For very high security sites, it is possible to deploy storage vaults on premise as well as leveraging cloud storage. This offers further peace of mind by ensuring critical data is always secure, and always available, with selected data stored in more than one location.

Advanced Searching

The SEiNG Video Management System interface offers users an intuitive graphical interface to allow fast and simple access to recorded video footage. A single overview and search parameters provide the capability to search for specific events quickly and easily.

High Availability

SEiNG allows the connection of multiple nodes to leverage the benefits of Kubernetes High-Availability. A Kubernetes, multi-master cluster uses multiple master nodes along with its supporting components to ensure there is no single point of failure.

Independent and Manufacturer Agnostic

SEiNG is truly manufacturer independent, allowing you to realise your investment in existing CCTV Cameras or allows you to select from the latest High Definition technology.

System Availability

It is vital to ensure all cameras are operational. With SEiNG the system is immediately notified if a camera goes ‘off-line.’ This built in self-monitoring will inform users and allow them to take prompt action to rectify the issue.

Failover

The SEiNG platform offers uninterrupted system performance in the event of hardware failures. This ensures maximum uptime and availability. If a node goes offline, another node will take over the agents. If a camera goes down, a notification will be issued, and the SEiNG agent will keep trying to establish a connection until it is available.
