Setting up 2FA Authentication for your SEiNG account
A strong password can help to keep your accounts and data safe, but in the event of a data breach, you’ll want something more secure. Two-factor authentication, or 2FA, adds another layer of security to your personal information. We highly recommend setting up 2FA for your SEiNG account.
If you don’t already have an authentication app, we would recommend using either Microsoft Authentication app or Google authentication app. You can find them on both Apple App store and Android Playstore
To set up 2FA for your SEiNG account, open up a browser and navigate too your SEiNG URL.
Depending on whether you use a custom URL or sign in via seing.ai, you will see a login prompt similar to:
Log into your account
You will be greeted by an ‘enable MFA’ page.
At this point, you need to open your authentication app.
There should be an option with your authentication app to scan QR code.
The icon to scan QR code should look like the round one towards the bottom of the device:
This should open your phone camera, point the camera at the QR code on the enable MFA page.
Doing this should automatically add the account into your authentication app. The account will be labelled as seing.ai and will display a code which refreshes every 30 seconds.
Now, enter the code you see under seing.ai into the enable MFA page.
If successful, a green banner will appear at the top of your webpage.
Sign in again and you will now be asked for your secret code.
This is the code under seing.ai via your authentication app.
You have now set up 2FA on your SEiNG account.
