Install SEiNG as an app on Windows with Microsoft’s Edge browser

Installing SEiNG as an app on Windows using Microsoft Edge is a simple process, this can be helpful for end users who would rather access SEiNG via their desktop or taskbar.

To install as an app using Microsoft Edge, the browser and navigate to https://seing.ai/login (or your custom URL).

Once you have reached the login page, In the top right corner, find the ellipsis and left click (…)

When you click the ellipsis, a new sub menu will appear:

Hover over apps with your mouse cursor, you should then see ‘Install site as an app’ – Left click to install site as an app.

At this point, you should also select and allow the options as shown below, particularly ‘Create Desktop shortcut’:

SEiNG will install within a few seconds, you should then see SEiNG appear on your desktop.

You can now search for SEiNG using the Windows Start menu at the far bottom left of your screen, it will appear under the apps section:

If you did not previously allow ‘pin’ SEiNG to your taskbar – with the SEiNG app open, find its logo on the taskbar (at the bottom of your screen) and right click to reveal the sub menu, left click ‘Pin to taskbar’.

The app will now stay pinned to your taskbar, even when you close the app.
