Creating a custom Videowall

SEiNG allows you to create a custom video wall.  This feature is great for allowing external users and devices access to a live view of selected cameras. Once the video wall has been created, you can share the link with any user, even if they don’t have a registered account with SEiNG for your site.

To do this, first log in with an account with admin level privileges.

SEiNG navigation menu

Then, in the sub menu on the left, under the ‘monitoring’ section. Find ‘video wall’

This will open the video wall page. From here you can create new videowalls as well as manage video walls which have already been created.

SEiNG Videowall main configuration

To add a new video wall, in the top right corner of the browser window, find ‘add videowall’ and left click.

Videowall add cameras configuration

Next, you need to select which cameras will be viewable on the video wall.

Note: selecting a group will automatically select all cameras.

Selecting a site will automatically select all cameras for that specified site.

The permissions tab is where you select what can be done by users when viewing the video wall.

Live view: Here you can select whether the user can stream the camera live view in Standard definition, High definition or both.

Pan/Tilt -Zoom: Here you can select whether the users can control the camera. They can be allowed to: can zoom, can pan and tilt, can PTZ or can use PTZ and use presets. (Selecting PTZ allows full control of the camera, selecting PTZ with presets allows full control as well as any presets.
