SEiNG platform update: June 2026 release notes

written on by Megan Armstrong

TL;DR: SEiNG is automatically updating on Wednesday 17th June. Speed up footage review to find the moments that matter with a synchronised media player. Gain a single place to track and collaborate on investigations, as you now can add attachments to Cases. Finally, restrict Video Walls so they're only active when needed, with the option to add an expiry date.

Remote Access

We like to say that SEiNG today is the worst it’s ever going to be.

That’s because every month, we update the cloud CCTV platform so users gain more cloud intelligence, a faster performance, enhanced cybersecurity, and tools to strengthen CCTV investigations.

All without IT having to lift a finger. All updates are automatic, handled by our team.

So, what’s new this month?

Review the full story faster

Previously, SEiNG's Context View allowed you to review related footage from other cameras around the same time as your selected recording. Each clip was displayed and reviewed individually.

Now, SEiNG has taken this a step further with a new Synchronised Player. It automatically stitches together relevant footage from each camera, enabling simultaneous playback and timeline scrubbing across multiple recordings to speed up investigations and create a clearer picture of what happened.

Plus, you can now filter context using markers. Ideal if, for example, you're investigating an incident with a bike and want to narrow down related footage faster.

Read the Recordings Guide and scroll down to "understand events in context" to see how it works.

Export SEiNG case

One case. Every piece of evidence.

Last month we updated Cases so you can now add all the footage you need. Now, you can also add PDF, image, and video attachments from outside of the SEiNG platform.

How it works:

Open your Case:

  • Select Attachments from the tabs
  • Click Upload files
  • Drag and drop, or upload from your files

All associated footage and related files will now stay together, so investigations are complete and connected.

Share and collaborate on Cases

You can now securely share Cases to team members without a SEiNG login.

  • Open your Case
  • Under the Actions drop down, choose Share Case
  • Add the email addresses you wish to send the Case to
  • Edit the expiry date and media or attachments you wish to include
  • Send the invite. Recipients will have to verify their email to view the Case

Customise your retention period

Stay compliant with UK GDPR by retaining footage only for as long as necessary. Cases are stored for one year by default, but you can now configure custom retention periods to match your organisation's requirements.

Restrict access to video walls

Schedule Video Wall Access

Limit Video Wall access to specific times, ensuring footage is only viewed when necessary with the new timer function. Video Walls can also now be set to automatically expire, so access is only there when needed.
